Corrections & verification log

This site publishes licensure, continuing-education and title-protection rules that dietitians rely on to keep a licence in good standing. Getting one wrong can cost somebody their registration. When we do, the fix belongs in public — with what it said, what it says now, and how long the error stood.

Everything in the first section was live on the site. Errors caught in review before publishing are not listed there; calling those “corrections” would flatter us and tell you nothing. Our corrections policy explains the standard, and this page is the record of it being kept.

Spotted something wrong? Email info@dietitianlicense.com with the page and, if you have it, the primary source that contradicts us. Corrections are verified against a primary source before we change anything.

Published claims that were wrong. Newest first.

  1. August 4, 2026Continuing education — Hawaii, Idaho, Alaskalive for 8 days before we caught it

    These three pages stated that continuing education was "Not required". That was a claim we had no source for. Our data recorded continuing education as unknown for Hawaii, because a requirement could exist in a section of the administrative rules we had not retrieved, and Idaho and Alaska both tie renewal to maintaining CDR registration, which carries its own continuing-education obligation. The page turned "we don't know" into "you don't have to" — the single worst way this site could fail, because a dietitian could have skipped required credits and lost a licence on it.

Verification log

Checks of the data we publish, listed whether or not they found an error. A check that finds nothing is not a non-event — it is the only evidence that the checking happens at all.

  1. August 4, 2026Eight states — continuing education and licensure

    Resolved eight states' outstanding continuing-education questions against primary sources in the same pass that fixed the error above.

    Result: All eight now carry a sourced answer rather than an inferred one.

  2. July 27, 2026Registered dietitian exam facts

    Re-checked the exam format, domain weights and passing score, which had originally been written with hedged language.

    Result: Replaced with CDR-verified figures. Hedging is not a substitute for checking.

  3. July 27, 2026Vermont fees and the DC title question

    Checked Vermont's fee schedule and the overlap between the protected titles "dietitian" and "nutritionist" in the District of Columbia.

    Result: Vermont fees re-sourced from the Office of Professional Regulation schedule; the DC title overlap corrected before publication.

  4. August 11, 2026Seven states without a located rule chapter — unresolved

    Maryland, Hawaii, Montana, North Dakota, Indiana, Missouri and New York have no board or administrative-code chapter we have been able to locate and cite. New York is the hardest of them, because there the question is whether a requirement exists at all.

    Result: Open, and recorded here rather than filled in with an assumption. Two more questions — a Kentucky endorsement rule and a conflict between two District of Columbia fee documents — need a phone call to the board, not another search.

Requirements and fees change without notice, and a page that is right today can be wrong next quarter. Always verify with your state board and with CDR before you rely on anything here.
